What the Law Should Be

Law. Every society needs the law, which is defined as rules and regulations enforced to protect the rights of citizens. A society without law is a society with no balance of power and fundamental human rights taken away from marginalised and oppressed groups. The law, however, can become corrupt or useless when legal loopholes are made. For this reason, power must not be given to any single individual or group, but rather divided between independent bodies. Each body serves as a check on another to ensure that the power to change law and administer justice is not abused. All those who serve the community in the legal arena must be those who not only follow the law and understand and care for the justice of all people regardless of background. The reason is that all people are made and born to be equal.
